300 is BAR NONE the best example of a film hybrid. All the characters and actors are real life people who act in front of a blue screen for most of the film. What happens then is that the blue screen is replaced with dramatic scenery to give you an amazing and graphically and visually pleasing view.

In this youtube video, you can see a Picture-in-Picture view of how 300 is made using the blue screen backdrop. This technology has been used in quite a few venues and films, but 300 has got to be the most graphically impressive of them all.
